Sunroof Removal in a EJ1
Hello Everyone.
I am currently in the process of building my EJ1 into a track only car. My plan was to remove the sunroof as the car is a Canadian SI (US EX). I was going to build a fiberglass plug that also had a streamlined mount for one of my onboard cameras. Now, the issue is.. I have the interior out of the car and I have been looking at the frame that supports the sunroof. I need to know if the frame is actual a structural support for the roof of the car. I can't see there being all that metal just to support a foot and a half wide section of glass. The car is getting a cage but I need to know if its ok to remove it now while the car is still going to be jacked up and down and moved around a lot.
Thanks for your help / time.
Mike
