Default Going with coilovers, but which ones?

I have an '03 RSX Type s and I am looking at lowering it but I can't decide if I should just get lowering springs or go ahead and get an all new coilover/shocks package? Skunk2 springs look good, but I'm going to eventually do autocross and curcuit racing and was wondering what people thought of the stock shocks on a type s and if they will hold up with just new springs.

You could get springs and adjustable shocks/struts, too. Some of the other guys can make a better recommendation for particular combinations than I can.

I'd get proper coilovers (Buddy Club comes to mind) if I were racing often enough and knew what I was doing when making adjustments.

I've been looking for different coilover packages and there is a big price difference. HKS makes a set for my car but they are $1850, and skunk2 offers the coilovers but no shocks for 338. Skunk doesn't offer the full set specifically for the RSX but im sure I could get it to work but there full kit(with shocks) costs about 748. Big price difference. I also looked at tein and there lowest price was from 999 to 1860. Just wondering wich one will give the most bang for my buck, price is important put performance would come first depending on the circumstances. Also if anyone could mention any other any other brands I forgot I'd appreciate it.

remember you get what you pay. ive riden with cars that are GC springs and konis VS FULL coilovers. springs and shocks were bumpier compare to full coilovers. you will really feel the difference, even my friends told me my car didnt feel lowered with a full coilovers.

if you want street then get TEIN.
if your gonna use your car to track everyweek then get buddyclub or HKS

a lot of people bought MEGAN coilovers. its cheap and has a 2 yrs warranty.
