Default HOW TO GET PLASTIC OFF TAILGATE

Alrighty guys. i just got this eg and it was already striped of the interior but the rear plastic peace that is on the tailgate how does it come off b/c the little thing to open the tailgate is on it? thanks for the help in advance.

is it held on by clips?? im to lazy to pull mine off...

its held on my clips. just remove the **** on the handle that lowers the tailgate, remove the little tray underneath it by removing one screw, and then just pull along the edges.

its just like removing a door panel.

Pull hard or use tape wrapped around pliers so you don't scratch the piece.

I just put mine back on the other day. To get the **** off, you don't just pull straight off. You kind of have to rotate it off. You rotate the **** downward and kinda pull at the same time. You'll see why once you get it off. The end of the lever curls to help keep the **** in place. Hope that helps. I know it's a vague description.
