whats the importance of size stagger between front and rear wheels?
if this is asked alot or a really stupid question, i'm sorry, i searched a bit, found nothing and s2ki is down
bottom line is i want rotas, please save the "they're not good enough for your ferrar...i mean s2k" crap if thats how you feel
i belive from what i've read the stock wheels on my ap1 have 1.5 inches diff between the fronts n rears
i've found 4 rota's that will fit my car but only have 0.5 inches diff between them, they are -
boost
front 17x7.5 +48
rear 17x8 +48
g-force
front 17x7.5 +48
rear 17x8.0 +48
rev
front 17x7.5 +48
rear 17x8.0 +45
torque
front 17x7.5 +48
rear 17x8 +48
according to the offset minimums chart from s2ki all these will fit but will only having a half inch stagger be a big deal?
this is a street car, i live on a rack of backroads and like to have fun on them every now and then but never have any plans to track the car so if it makes some minor loss in handling i'm not concerned
any help/info much appreciated

Any of them will work. People usually run the 7" in the fronts, but 7.5 won't hurt. Just make sure you're not too slammed, and get an alignment after.
Stagger is determined by the offset, not the wheel width. A half inch wider wheel wont equal a half inch stagger. Get the proper wheel offsets if you enjoy driving the car at somewhere near the limit.
There's nothing wrong with rota wheels, but the offsets aren't right. However they do "work" if your defination of working is bolting onto the car and somewhat clearing the fenders.

the way weight transfers is affected by track or the width of the vehicle(among other things). this should be obvious. the wider the car, the less the weight transfer effects roll. honda didnt make the rear whels track wider than the front because they thought it looked cool. they did so because the way that the suspension is set up the car needs a wider rear track. its tricky to make it a simple explanation out of this. you really should read some suspension books. if you put wheels that stick out further than they should or are sunken in further than they should be, you will alter the way the car handles. they are staggered for a reason. if you put wheels with the wrong offset on you will be changing the handling of the vehicle. dont bullshit yourself into thinking that it wont make any difference.
i guess i'll just get the wedsport sa-90's off tirerack, only like 600 more than rotas with tires and from what i've read a safe bet. thanks everyone for the replies
appreciate it
