well how about you sit back and look at your budget. You are looking to boost your real high mileage motor.
Nitrous is going to cost you way less than a turbo kit. Turbo is all around better.

i am a fan of both and have used both on b series motors... never turbocharged a single cam but... you have a high mileage motor so anything that you are going to do is going to be alittle dangerous...
i you break and some of the parts go through your turbo not only did u screw up your motor you also screwed up the turbine or compressor housing...
if you are just on the bottle... its alot more violent but if you break... all your out is some parts for a single cam... not to expensive to replace...
i am currently running a b18c1 with a 100shot of spray just until i go k-series
thats just my 2cents

my car has a 50 shot Zex dry kit on my d16z6 w/165xxx miles & with a few bolt-ons but im planning on a full rebuild and turbo by july. the d-series has a lot of potential save your money and go for the turbo, more horses than just a swap.

I wouldn't recommend shooting anything w/ that many miles on it...
Just turbo it...and with that many miles, like 4 lbs .....
what I'm having trouble w/ is howu have money for a nitrious or turbo setup but u don't have money to get the rings done or anything? Either way ur risk blowing something w/ that many miles on the engine, spend 400 on a longblock swap into another D16Y8 w/ low miles and turbocharge that

Squeeze is the best bang for the buck but like everyone's already expressed, turbo is a lot more fun. To be honest, you should keep that money in your pocket and save up for something more reliable. Motor-swap/rebuild possibly? I don't know how you stand financially but that'd give your shell another lifetime and you'd probably enjoy it more.
your a moron. you shouldn't even be considering either of these as an option if you can't even spell or form a proper sentence
i had a zex kit on my 98 dx motor. i was running a 50 shot.I never had any problems and i went through a few bottle refills. It was fun, also i liked the fact it was more stealth than running a turbo.
Whats wrong with Boosting a high mileage D? I was boosting 9lbs on my old single cam for a long time and it had 197xxx miles on it. It never gave me any problems whatsoever.
Ive never driven a car with nitrous so i cant say anything about that, but turbo is way fun. theres nothing like the sound of a turbine spooling or the sound of a BOV! psshhh haha.
And you can even peice together your own kit if your on a budget, most of it is all just pipes.
But which ever road you decide to go down good luck with it bro, or you can always save your money and try that 3rd road and swap it. pce!

Bro.. Why would u drop 3 grand on a turbo or 500 beans on nitrous.. u got 175k on the motor... Buy a B16 or B18c1... U are retarded... Your Like a Retard at Chuckie Cheese. Also why put nos to a motor with 175k ur going to make the pistons worse
Wow how is that there are so many @$$holes on here
...
Anyways...
Honestly start out with a rebuild or replace if you want to start boosting it or spraying. Don't get me wrong you can do both as is but the motor is not going to last. Beside boosting/spray on a D motor will help you run with the B16 and GSR but sooner or later your going to want to turn up the boost and that will be the day you call the tow truck.
Turbo VS Nitrous
Turbo = $3000.00 + tuning + 91 gas for life. shorter motor life span
Nitrous = $300.00 to $700.00 + tuning + 91 gas + 3.00+ dollars a pound for a bottle refill A lot shorter motor life span
