Anyone know how to turn off the Seat Belt Reminder on new Accord?
Does anyone know how to make the seat belt reminder stop going off? Besides wearing the seatbelt. That thing is so annoying. If there is a fuse or a plug or something. I did run the seatbelt around the back of the seat and plug it in that will stop it but over time that is going to rub the seat and ruin it.
Thanks

for your own sake i hope nobody posts the answer to this, because you need to wear your seatbelt.
uncomfortable or not, you'll wish you had it on when your ejected.

I removed mine, I was told it is illegal? I do not think I will help you though because all of these guys will yell at me.

Wear the seatbelt. You may think it's annoying, but it's less annoying than injuries sustained from an accident if you're not wearing it. Believe me, you will get used to it.
logical response: Wear your seatbelt
Non logical response: Go a head and not wear it. That way when you get into an accident and you get killed or seriously mamed and you better hope you die instead of being a vegetable for the rest of your life....

Of course, wear your seatbelt at all times... but to answer your question:
You could pick up a seatbelt buckle from a junkyard (just the buckle) and keep that plugged in.
You could unplug the buckle - there's an electrical connection somewhere under the seat... but there's the question of whether this would deactivate your airbag when you might really have the seatbelt on and are in a wreck.
Obviously you should wear your seatbelt at all times, and wear a NASCAR-style hemet at all times (even when walking down the street, you never know when a rock may be thrown at you). Seriously though, I agree that a reminder beeping is too "nannyish" even though I wear my belt all the time. Say I take it off while sitting in my car while parked while I listen to my radio, I wouldn't want the damn thing beeping at me.

if the seat sensor is on the same plug, it would since the SRS system would not detect a driver in the seat.

yup, alot of newer cars have this feature, no passenger there...no airbag deploy.
not the same for all cars, but alot of them have this.
