What d-series motor does the SOHC Del Sol VTEC have? d16????
I am just wondering what d motor goes in the si vtec, I think it is the d16y7 but you guys are the pros.

Just a little something to think about the Del Sol Si And the Del Sol Vetec are 2 diff cars. The Del Sol si has the SOHC vetec the d16. The Del Sol Vetec has the DOHC b16 vetec

Theres a thread in my sig about the del sol and what came on what yr, more then just the engines, it has all the info your looking for in there.
But to answer your question no motor came in that model because it dosent exist
its either the S, SI, or VTEC model.
And no this isen't a dumb question I see far worse on a daily basis.

Well I understand that the del sol VTEC has the b16a3. That is why I asked about hte SI which has the SOHC VTEC, Si is the model but the engine has the VTEC thanks though.

That's two different models.
There are 3 trim levels of del Sol:
- S
- Si
- VTEC
There is no "Si VTEC." The Si came with a SOHC VTEC engine, but it was just called the "Si." Yes, it's confusing.
The del Sol Si came with the D16Z6 in '93-95, and the D16Y8 in '96-97.
The del Sol VTEC came with the B16A3 in '94-95, and the B16A2 in '96-97.
That's two different models.
