need help on 97 hatch

Default need help on 97 hatch

hey guys I have a 97 hatch with a b20 obd2 and the problem is this when im driving every thing

is fine but when im coming to a stop and throw it in neutral the idle stay at 2000 rpm then when

the car come to a complete stop the idle goes back to normal but only when I am completely

stoped why is this

i have a 2000 si and the same thing happened to me . my throttle body was dirty and it caused my car to run like that cuz of the t body spring. it caused the t body to not shut completly but once i cleaned it, the t body function perfect. also adjust ur throttle cable. and check ur spark plugs.

how would you check to see if you have a bad EACV

also check your idle air control valve. sometimes that will cause the rpm's to stick like that. if its dirty go get some carb. cleaner and spray it clean. be careful with it though its a fairly expensive part.
