The P72 will recognize the IABs and knock sensor. If you are using the GSR IM, then run the P72.

You can't "tune it with crome" if you dont have a chipped ECU in the first place.

well when I hear "tune" i think of either street tune or dyno tune, not base map. But if you have a spoon chip in there, you should be good to go.

well you would be needing a new chip as that one is probably locked. A basemap to start with wouldnt hurt either

Or it will be a big difference if i get the P72?

Well if you get either chipped, it won't matter since you will be tuning it. But the P72 will recognize the IABs which is needed to make your engine run properly.

i thought crome can operate the IAB's on a p28 with a little modification. However i would just get a p72 it'll be much better/easier.

the P28 does not have the hardware to operate the IABs on the GSR intake manifold, it does not have knock sensor ability either.

If you have a skunk2 intake manifold then you don't care about the IAB control.
The knock sensor funcationality is nice for tuning and safer for your engine in the long run but not required.

both hardware abilities can be added to the P28 but it's not as as easy as adding it to the chip.

once chipped and tuned (other than hardware limitations) there are virtually no differences between the P28 and the P72. But those hardware differences are what matters.

Either one you get would be fine really.

I would change out the GSR manifold anyway as it flows like
