ATTN SOHCArchangel:question
you keep sterssing the rear and front mounts on the accords as problems for breaking axles and also i noticed you mentioning something about the tranny grinding. how would the mounts affect these? i am very interested in how these mounts could affect performance and the transmission, and also the axles. thanks for elaborating.

Also the fact that that it would move less/not at all will keep the rest of the driveline from moving to much staying in a smaller set motion where deflection of any sort and excess movement is at a minimum

Id rather have my boss pissed at me than a mod on h-t....you guys have power, whether you know it or not.
SOHCArcangel did a pritty good job explaining it but I will attempt to make it even more clear. When the stock mounts grow old and weaken the engine shifts more. Since engines rotate when you go to launch the car alot of torque is thrown through the driveshafts all at once. This torque finds the easiest way to be used and takes that route. With the old stock engine mounts that is the easiest point for the torque to rotate, so the engine rotates in the engine bay. Even with the stock engine mounts the engine can only rotate so much so once the engine rotates at its fullest the engine quickly comes to a hault and the torque is transfered in a jolt through the driveshafts to the wheels. This jolt is what causes driveshafts to break and can cause problems to transmissions as well.
