Default somebody SAVE ME

I am getting ready to buy some slipstreams. I dont want to do it. can anyone think of a light weight rim in 16x7 4x100 . i looked at the buddy club p1 sf-almost 16lbs.-is that right? i guess the problem is not weight, but money. almost left out the most important-close to 600.00 shipped is all i have .

What is wrong with Slipstreams? They're cheap, lightweight, and durable. Perfect wheel for competition.

He said you can have them for $600 shipped.

Although I don't know if you'll find anything better than the Slipstreams for $600 shipped.

Have you checked out this site?

http://www.machiii.net/wheels/Rota_Slipstream.html

They offer free shipping. Price for 16 x 7 +40mm 4 x 100 is $125 each.
I bought a set from them two years ago, and I was completely satisfied.

The 15x7" Slips are 13lbs, not 11.5... the 15x6.5" Slips are heavier than 11.5. But nice wheel/tire combo, I run that same setup myself. Pics of sandblasting? They only had bronze when I ordered, which I like on my C8s for the street but not on the Slips.

Original poster: do you only want 16"s?

i gave up on the 16" thing. it took me awhile to realize it. i saw the 15x7 slips in dustins add(jlb). my question now is in the other thread; unless someone comes up with a compelling reason to still go 16x7 instead of 15x7or 15x6.5(that is the dilema now).

Kosei K1s are always a good choice... on clearance at Tire Rack right now for $109/ea. I'm happy with my Slips, but I wish I had gotten the Koseis just because I like the look a little bit better and they are otherwise pretty much the same.

Falken Hanabis are also a great choice, 11lbs and look in that thread and you'll find them on sale for $89/ea!

Nello - I would stick with 15" wheels. Cheaper and the tire selection is better. Hankook will be releasing a 225/45-15 version of the RS2 which should prove to be a good choice for street tire autocross classes.

On a completely unrelated subject, IMHO 15" looks better on a Del Sol.

Now, there's some good news. Maybe I can finally sell my 16x7 Spoons, then. I'd been hanging onto them only to get some 215-section rubber on the ground on those rare occasions my DC2 ITR is driven on the street.

thanks guys. thanks clayton. i decided to go with the 15x7 hanabi in silver(h-t member verified the 11 lbs. and leo at edgeracing says he weighed one for me<"a little over 11 lbs.") cant beat that weight for 89.00. i cant picture them in my head on the car though. OT- clayton-everyone always comments on the radiator overflow you guys made me. thanks again for that on- the- fly- fabrication -to -specs.
