Default transmition with no oil?

I have a 2000 integra LS. i have LS vtec on it, i dont know if that could effect this or not, no my gears have been grinding a lot so i decided to check the tranny fluid and flush it, when i pulled out the plug however there was no oil in there at all it was completly dry. So i flushed it out re filled it and then it was fine for about 45 min of driving then my engine started smoking and it was cuz the tranny fluid was coming out of the velt hole on top i think. i figured i must jus have over filled it a little and so it was coming out untill it was at the correct level, i then went to flush it again since there was no oil in there befor jus to be safe, and there is no oil again in there it had all leaked out, i think it is coming from the velt hole on top i washed it off to try and find it however i could not. jus wouldering if anyone has had this problem or knows what could be causing it, yes i used honda MTF. it is a 5 speed.

i got a 95 teg and the gear oil tht was recomemded was jus regular motor oil -10 w 40 to b exact.....and yes i did say engine oil for the transmission(manuel) tht is .
u do have a manuel transmission right and not automatic?
if u use anything heavier like 80 w 90 or so 5th gear will starve for oil and u may damage the trans...............letme know......i'm still tryin 2 figure out what this velt hole is and where it is located

honda in the early 90's used sae 10w30 oil in their transmissions, until the came out with the line of mtf.

the mtf oddly enought smells and feels just like the castrol gtx(start-up) oil.
