idle backfiring and brake problems

Default idle backfiring and brake problems

like topic says im having problems with my idle it gets really low about 5 minutes after start up and when i let off the gas there is some really really loud backfires and i can even hear backfires at idle i was thinking it might be my iavc or whatever the acronym for it is but im not sure im not throwing any codes im also thinking i might have air in my coolant casue this problem started about 1 month ago but i want to see all of your suggestions my set up is a d16y8 in a 91 crx still obd0 running ona vtec contoller and the brake problme is my pedal starts going all the way down when im at a light or stop sign while pressing the brake so if u guys can gimme some suggestions or ideas i would really appriciate it

if u think you have air in the coolant do a cylinder leak down test, as for brakes are they stock disc up front and drums in the rear, also are u leaking brake fuild? are the pads low

its a 91 SI so its discs on front and back i dont believe im leaking brake fluid and the pads are about 6 months old and il try to get the cylinder leak down test done

your brake problem is your power booster, more so if it does it the hotter it is outside or under hood.....when the car is hotter or its hotter outside it does it worse doesnt it..........brake booster dude,

check the vacuum hoses going to the booster before u start buying parts

Your brake master cylinder is bad. Replace the master cylinder.

No it isn't. A faulty booster will make the pedal get harder, not sink to the floor.

so two of the three hondas that i own that did that and were fixed by new brake boosters lied to me?

check ur distributor and fireing order... and your brakes, either u have a leak in ur line or you need to rebleed them asap
