They are cheap on ebay and comp sells decent stuff but the power gains aren't the greatest. Spend the extra money to get the springs and run the stg 2's. I know people who have run them and they are great in the midrange but quit making power around 8400.

So the Comp Stage 2 is similar to a stock ITR or BC 3?

Consider them more of a step down from Skunk2 stg 2's. They make better power on the primary and secondary lobes but they just don't pull the rpms.

1 guy I know had them in his 12.5:1 gsr motor and said they quit making power around 8600 and he made like 188whp w/ a mild ported head and ctr pistons.
switched to skunk2 stg 2's and a little more aggressive port job and made 200whp even and reved to 9k

I helped build a lsvtec w/ p30 pistons and a b16 head and he's running the comp cams now but havn't heard the results yet.
He didn't upgrade the springs yet so he's running w/out vtec. but revving to 7500 on a very mild clean up in the heads and a dc 4-2-1 header in his crx ran like a 14.7 on the primary lobes and he says it has gobs of power down low.

For the money I think they are a good upgrade its just too bad they're stg 3 cams are really gnarly and I don't want to be the first to try them lol.

Comp claims 17-18hp on a gsr w/ just I/H/E and springs/retainers.
