Default 0bd0to0bd1 problems !

ok im doing a 0bd0 to 0bd1 conversion on a crx hf with a y8 in it .
im using a 92-95 civic dx ecu . it starts & runs ,. but when it gets 2 about 4 k it's like it looses power then it just shoots back up to 5 k . what would causse this? is it the ecu ? or my 02 sensor or dizzy ?

its probably a combination of the dx ecu and the low cam mode of the engine making it feel slow..my advice to you is hook up vtec and chip the ecu,,or possibly find a p28 if you dont want to chip..

also im not sure about obd1 but dont you have to reset the ecu after you fix the code..??? unhook the negative battery cable for like a minute then hook it back on and start the car and just let it idle..

Its normal if you have no codes/faults present for the light to stay on when you jump it...This is also how you set your base ignition timing...
Your CEL will be off if you have no codes. If it stays on when you jump it, you have no codes...
HTH...

Is the base timing set? That will make it feel slow too...
