I've read in OverRev about Tyler possibly piloting a SFWD Scion tC for the 06' NHRA season. Does anyone have any info/pics in regards to the car's progress? Thanx.

There was a tiny pic on OverRev from the SEMA show but not much info. Maybe Tyler will chime in and shed some light on the car.

 

i would like to know as well , from what i remember it was on hold, no more financing?

 

If you go to the sema coverage on tunerzine I think its there. But my sources say its not done. Not sure if its gonna be done or not.

 

From what I have heard from Tyler, it looks as if the toyota is taking a lot longer than anticipated... Tyler will be running his HB this season... (I like the gold bullet better anyway)....

So any clue as to when the car should be making its debut?

 

There it sits, next to another unused drag car. Sorry for the crappy camera phone pic. To be honest, the car hasn't been touched since before SEMA. The motor is assembled now, but there is a lot of work to go.

I've been really busy trying to keep my Civic running. There isn't any support for the SCION project, but I have commitments to fulfil with the Civic. Plus, the Civic is more competitive at this point. I don't have the time or money to really push to get the SCION done as quickly as I'd like. I want to see it run in the 10's sometime this year. That's my personal goal at least.

Edit: Here's a pic from SEMA 2005, courtesy of my favorite website- UrbanRacer.com. It's a great looking car. I think the stance is just perfect and the cage came out awesome. I really want to get it running as soon as time/money allows.

I fell in love with the gold hatch once I saw it in Dsport a while back, and I used to hate Tc's, but I think I may have found a new love That thing is coming out nasty

Well the project is back up and going again. Thanks to a couple of our greatest buddies. Leslie and Arthur thanks for the help. We will get it out there hopefully by the end of the year.

well, i can tell you leslie durst does have her name on the side of a scion, but it's not that one

 

Final issue.

 

I miss OverRev.

 

UPDATE....Horizon Motorsports has taken over the '06 Scion tc Sport FWD project. We have not gotten as far along as we would have liked due to some issues with the AM car that caused us to miss both the St. Louis & Denver events. We did however have it sent to Full Race this past month to have the manifold made. It came out flawless, but then again would you expect any less ??

We are hoping to have some time in September to finish it up and have it ready by Pomona.
