my buddy put an ls motor in his ef and it ran decent. well the problem is that his head was warped and he asked if i could help him take off the head and then put it back on, So by the time i got to his house he had already taken it off so he could take it to the machine shop. So after he recived the head we put it back on he started to hook up all the hoses and whatever else was needed. so i timed the car and it turned on for about a minute then died. We didnt know what the prob. was. i ended up finding out that he hooked up a coolant line to the IACV. if im correct that is the one on the intake mani. well i took the valve cover back off and the oil and coolant mixed. so the dumbass that my buddy is tried to turn it on again. it sounded like the distributer was making a wierd like clicking noise. so basically can someone please help me. the car wont start and im going to rip off the head again.

 

did you think of just draining the oil and coolant and then refilling them both up?

it might work, and would be a lot faster than what you're planning on doing.

 

i will do that i also just found out that he just moved the spark plug wires in any random order. but i need to see what vacum lines and coolant lines need to be re-connected. he has alot of them just tapped with bolts.
