cant get my tps off....wtf?

Default cant get my tps off....wtf?

hey guys..i did search but didnt find wat i was lookin for....my ecu is throwing a code 7 (tps) and my idle is going everywhere....so i need to get a new tps...just switch the old one out...sounds easy right?...but i have a problem...my motor is a d16a6 from the factory...adn the tps doesnt have any bolts...it looks like just a flat headed bolt holding it on....my question to you guys is how the **** do i take this off...cuz i can get a new one...but i need to get this one off.....just let me know thanx

I've heard of people cutting notches and screwing them out that way. You could always drill them out.

Remove the tb... either cut notches and remove with screwdriver.... or dril em out and retap the holes

i just use a dremel to cut some slots so i can remove with a flathead screwdriver...then when you put it back on use some bolts instead .

This is the best way to do it.

You can get new screws at Autozone or Napa to replace the ones you dremel, or use teh old ones if you're careful.

BTW, don't forget to calibrate your TPS when you install it.
