Default Socket size for the oil pressure sender?

Forgot to torque the oil pressure sender unit (?) on the block, under the oil filter....I have a 21 mm socket and it is too small. Next size up I had on hand was 30...

Anyone happen to know (or can measure one) the socket size so I can torque it down.

I don't know guy, but are you boosting the h22 or something?

I would recommend you looking into a sandwich plate. Its much more safe - in regards to breaking something important. can't really go wrong with a sandwich plate.

My 97+ Helms says that it's 1/8 in. British Standard Pipe Taper.

I have no idea what that means.

One more quick question.....

When the sender was removed before the block went to the shop I had it sitting around and noticed that there appeared to be some teflon tape left on it. I re-wrapped it with teflon tape.....that right?

You are correct, sir!

I wrapped the bejesus out of mine....just as long as you kept the tape out of the port.

Wrapped mine pretty good, and the port is on the bottom of the unit, right?
