Joe, good job with the pan. came out nice. one piece for the motor and tranny seems like the way to go instead of using a engine diaper and a pan for the trans.
i think the rule is dumb, but rules are rules and looks like everyone made due.

It keeps fluid off the track so we can all enjoy more racing and less cleanup...that is dumb?
Pan looks great Joe.

I think its a good rule. Keeps the track clean and so we can watch more racing. I hate to see the cleaning crew making more passes than the racers.
do we need to scavange the exhaust under the catch pan? or what the heelll people are telling me that you cant just make a pan cover the whole motor and exhaust, you have to have the exhaust come out from under the pan so wouldnt this make the pan a pain in the *** to make?

i know of atleast 2 cars that had joe's pans, and my 2 pans are half the size and they passed. i think if there is something there you are cool.

...i know Art, your right it does keep the track cleaner and it def. sukx when the cleaning crew is out there stopping the racing. Safety comes first. i guess what i meant by dumb is that its annoying to have to do one more thing to pass tech. it's always one more thing with them. can't wAit to see whats next.

Yep, I can vouch for the Catch pan. It only took us 2 min. to install (even w/ the needed modification
).

Just a quick question: How would this pan hold the fluid, if say you blow on the top end? Going 120mph+, wouldn't the fluid just spray all over anyways? How tight does the pan sit against the bottom of the car/block/tranny?
Looks good though. Anything for safety.

It sits pretty close I took off a scatter shield on the hatch joe ran and it had one of these on it. Let me just say that damn thing catches everything. Just make sure you take it off before u get underneath and try to take parts off

does anyone know or are you guys avoiding this? looks like to me that the exhaust must go underneath the pan

on my 2 pans, it does, but on the pan i think they are looking for, it is next to impossible with a 3", i cant immagine a 4" down pipe.
