Well my first race back after a a full season and on the first pass blow an injector seal and catch on fire! stay up till 5:30 am making a whole new wiring harness and toasting the throttle cable (which kory and the guys from nrg where nice enough to let me borrow one) only to break a camshaft against Crawford in round one but still manage to get the win coz he broke and stopped and i broke and coasted to a 36 sec. win!! gotta love racing, great weekend overall though.

I wanted to say thanks to Tom and Miller and also Kory Lindsay for letting me borrow a throttle cable this past weekend. To Ron and Ed Bergenholtz for everything they have done to help me get back on the track, no way i would have been back yet without Ron, an amazing person, workaholic and funny as sh*t to boot, stand up guys that love this sport and industry! Steve and Gill Bothwell, Karl, thanks for all the support, encouragement and advice, your words don't fall on deaf ears thank you for everything, absolutely awsome people and team!. Thanks also to Vince, Rommel, Ricky, Zlatko, Marky, Alex, and Kurt the whole team is one of the best there is so much fun! The fans were great with an awesome turnout, thank you for all the encouragement and praise it felt great to be racing again!!

 

Many of us were glad to see you back at it, Sav. Keep up the hard work and the great attitude! Big props to Ron for his help!

Glad to see you back out, I know how it feels to be out of the game for a while. Also i couldn't agree more about Ron and Ed as well as Bothwell. Both great people and teams.

well i hope i'm back back...even though my first race kick me in the nuts...i got to replace a motor already! cam busted in half exhaust side, bye bye head. Dave Localio to the resque! oh and Tony my first pass was a 9.11 blowing up when i click it into fourth with a 1.50 60ft. on 26" tires..chuck has inspired me lol.

No problem Sav, I was glad to help you with my throttle cable off my car, since i got eliminated in the first round to lockett b/c my intercooler pipe blew off. I wasn't using it anymore . One of the pro guys help me out with a few things to help me pass tech inspec. this weekend, so i see it as good sportsmanship. I hope somebody would do the same for me in return if needed. good luck with the rest of the season

 

BIG congrats to Sav... great to see you back in the hot rod mix... two rounds seperate the top 4 in the early going... couldnt say that last year... NHRA hot rod

 

hes back and hes BAD!!! good to see you racing again sav. setbacks are a bitch but things are definatley looking good for you. good luck to you and the team with the rest of the season.

glad you made it back and trying, suks to have BS problems, but you have a really strong backing, that counts.

It was so nice to have Sav back in the car again. All I wanted to do was turn up the boost for him like the old days!

I know he will be back out strong again, it may take a couple of races, but you'll figure it out my friend. Keep up the hard work and let me know if you need ANYTHING!

I wish I had a video of the stands when Sav crossed the line on that pass. It was CLASSIC! The whole place was screaming and was cheering when you passed and won with a 36 sec. pass. Hahaha, that was great!

 

yeah that's what everyone was telling me..i heard that was the loudest the fans yelled the whole weekend! it was funny from my perspective; when i broke i started to pull over then i thought hey he should've came by me by now i look over he ain't there so i stear straight and coast on down to the finish line! i was rocking in my seat to try and get the car to roll more, it went through and i got the win! darrel *** came over and we were both cracking up. anyone have the video? i'ld like to see it. and vince thanks for everything you are a brother to me for sure. rommel two week i'll get ya some philly cheesesteaks!
