Are the FD on JDM Y1 and JDM S1 interchangeable?

looking to upgrade the 4.266 FD on my Y1 to the S1 4.400. Need to know for sure that this is doable. Thanks.

they are interchangable, but why would you wanna do that? whay not use the s1 tranny.

my Y1 has factory LSD. Want LSD with S1 gearing (and LS 5th gear).

they are not interchangeable cause the fd is attached to the lsd. its not bolted on like the non lsd fd.

is there any way to have the factory Y1 LSD with a 4.400 final drive?

so would you be able to slap the Ls 5th gear into a Non LSD Y1 tranny?

yes, any b-series 5th gear will work in any b-series tranny
