Default How do I retain a/c and power steering in my EJ8?

I bought a SIRII b16a w/ lsd complete swap. I'm putting it into my 1999 Honda Civic Ex. I have read that the Del Sol VTEC or CRV a/c bracket is what i need to use the stock compressor, but I know of a local with a 99-00 Si a/c bracket. Will this work? He also has a power steering bracket off a 99-00 Si, but what else would I need to make that work and retain power steering? Thanks in advance.

Welp, Honda makes two different compressors and depending on which one you have determines what bracket you will use. I have the Sanden (sp) compressor and used the P54 bracket on my 96 CX. Everyone will argue that I needed the P30 bracket but that was not the case for me since I had a different Compressor. It's hit or miss.

ok the del SLOW bracket will allow u to bolt up ur d-series compressor with all 4 bolts. If u get any other b-series A/C barcket such as the SI one u located then u can bolt your d-series compressor up with just 2 bolts. The two nearest the pully. It will work just fine, I would just suggest checking those bolts periodically to make sure they dont' wiggle loose though. Thats how I run it in my car no problems. 92 EG b16a2 with p30 ac bracket and stock R12 d-series compressor.

As for the power stearing i would suggest get the pump and pump brackets off of an LS or GSR integra (they give you a lil more room to work than a 99-00 SI bracket). Only thing that may not fit is the hose from the steering rack. I had a problem with this in my friends EG but I'm not sure if u get an extra 1/4 of an inch in the EK's on that hose????

If anyone could answer the Power Steering question I would like to know for sure myself so i dont' mis-inform.

You must have missed my post. I have a 96 CX and used my CX ac compressor (Sanden) and the 99-00 Si P54 ac bracket. All four bolts installed perfectly.

It really depends on the ac compressor that is in his car.

Again, click the EK Swap guide like in my sig for all the info and pictures.

p54= del slow
p30= SI
p75= LS
p72= GSR

unless u got an 99-00 del sol SI then I think I understood perfectly what you were saying.

back to the point though, trying get this guy set in what all he needs

P30 SI/P75 LS/ P72 GSR will work but with 2 bolts
p54 Del Slow will work but with 4 bolts

As far as power steering goes i'm not sure if the stock EK hose it long enough for a b-series pump, and i'm not sure if u can bolt the stock pump up to b-series brackets???
