i have a 95 honda accord that has 126,000 miles on it, the care runs good. but when i first crank it up in the morning its seems like it takes a while to idle down, and if i dont let it idle down and try to put it in gear it jumps real hard. what could this be...............

Look at the dash gauge cluster and you'll see a little needle that indicates the Engine RPM, then you'll be able to post info that can be helpful to your problem; As in; how fast is it idling at cold start?

You need to check your temp sensor repsonsible for telling the ECU if the engine has warmed up. It takes mty 94 about 3 mins to come down off of fast idle.......

usually you stick a volt meter on it and measure the voltage and based on the voltage readings you can tell if it is bad.

Usually if most people suspect this sensor (after trouble shooting leads them to it, they just replace it witout testing it. Your problem could also be caused by a bad ICV or a t-stat stuck in the open position (ECU never sees engine warm up)
