Default What to use to shave the valve cover?

What are you guys using to shave the letters + words off the valve cover? Low grit sand paper with a block? Sander?

I'm looking for the most cost effective with ease method. Thanks.

I believe most people use a grinder. I will be grinding the letters down with a grinder using a compressor very soon.

Some type of grinder to get the bulk of the lettering off and an orbital or belt sander to flatten it out would do the trick.

I used a handheld vibrating sander. Took about 20-30 mins overall and gave me a numb hand

awesome for 'the stranger' trick
