Shaving letters off Valve Cover
Searched and only found on topic on this. Someone said that they sanded their letters off with 150 grit. Anyone else can confirm this or another way of going about it?

I was guna polish it takes a lot more work than I thought. So I'm probably guna end up paiting it back to stock black wrinkle paint. I was thinking of using a belt sander but it's still guna be a of sandpaper.

I have a compressor already. But I'll ask around today.
Btw, would this do the job? http://www.harborfreight.com/c...44716
Edit: Checked the site out and found this http://www.resellerratings.com/seller4585.html Seems like it's not very reputable..

Sure will
Sure will
just be careful when you use a die grinder that you don't go too deep in places otherwise ur gonna be usin filler......... i'll post some pics of mine when i get home i use a sanding disk on my angle grinder worked great then sanded with 400 to prep for the paint
Here it is...Still need to sand it smooth and then prep for paint. But paint might be awhile need to order some wrinkle paint and some time to do it. I grinded a lil too much on some spots but I just used the belt sander after everything smooth everything out using 80 grit.
Oh btw, don't even try to sand it with anything. Defently need a die grinder anything of that kind. Took like 2 minutes at most to grind off the letter and sand it down.
