Default Need serious engine help !!! Not starting...

ok so its a 91 integra 2-dr LS B18a1 engine
i was doing a simple valve adjustment, when the rocker arm came off...no big deal, i got it on... but the 2 bolts holding the cam on #1 cylinder, well 1 snapped off, and only the thread is stuck in the hole... so i put it all back together...and the car isnt starting... it is blowing black smoke and it studdors and the rev meter moves no more than 3 K and it stalls within 10 sec.... now it starts to smoke a whiteish color from the motor...

i just chnage oil last week..and plenty in their...

wtf is going on with my car ??
-should i try to change my spark plugs and wires to see if that helps (since they are black) or will that not change anything.. and how about the valve cover gasket... would that affect anything.. ? or that cam bolt ??

thanks and im depressed !!!

Sounds like you over did the valve adjustment to the point that the valves are staying open all the time....atleast on one cylinder anyway. Do the valve adjustment again and make sure the screw doesnt move when you tighten the nut and that you are doing it in the proper order.

well when you did the valve adjustment did u make big changes. When i did mine the first time i think i did them too loose and my car ran like **** and died idling alot i re did them tighter and it was fine. How did u snap bolts did u reuse your old ones cuz thier one time use bolts when you go to take them out again your probably going to snap half of them. I also did that before it wasnt fun tapping out 6 bolts.

You need to replace that cap cap bolt. It is probably not causing you problem, but it can lead to more serious problems. Your exhaust cam is off by two teeth according to your other thread. That could be the cause of the problem.

Yea, if you dont have your cam timing set right then and you're aware of it, then you dont need to be talking to us and you need to be working.
