valve noise
86 2.0 changed valve gasket all went well did not adjust valves found out how ok what harm am i doing by not adjusting yet or what should i look for while i am there if the noise does not stop after thanks
If this is your first Honda the valve noise may just be more than you're used to; There isn't any great harm that comes from running slightly loose valve clearance.
Usually the noise lessens as the engine warms up.

My valves also make tuck, tuck, tucka noise (almost sounds like a diesel engine) in the morning. Then as its get warm it’ll go away, I try to adjust them with reading Helm book, but I couldn’t even insert the filler gauge in them, so that’s mean they are OK (but I could be wrong).
Whoa, stop, wait a minute....if you couldn't get the feeler gauge in under the rocker the valves are too tight. over tight valves can lead to problems, things like hard starts when engine is warm and if way too tight you could burn a valve
Well I see you got that gasket replaced ok. But unless your valves are noisy there is no need to. And I have hardly ever heard an A engine with noisy valves. I never even did that when I bought my LX-i. You should be ok without adjusting them.

Yes, you are wrong. Are you sure you have the camshaft in the right position (for each cylinder). You have to turn the crankshaft for each set of valves. If you have a Helm manual, read up, and don't skip any steps. Have fun.
