distributor question
I'm having trouble with my 91 accord. It will immediately die when I start it, but every now and then it will go ahead and start. I just noticed the last time that it was idling the clock and my radio kept flickering on and off, and the tachometer dropped to 0 rpm. I was thinking about changing the distributor from a 93 prelude. I have a prelude just setting up collecting dust and tree sap back home in my parents yard. Does anybody know if I can use it in the accord? It has the external coil and thats the only difference I know of. Just asking here before I drive 100 miles to fetch it.
I was checking the ohms of the coil and wasn't getting a reading. So I looked on the primary terminal and it looked corroded so I started to scrape it off and it broke. So now I have to replace it whether it was the problem or not. I just looked on advance auto and they have coils from $75 and up. I don't want to spend that if the one from my prelude will work. Thanks.
another thing, there wasn't a spring in there either on the primary terminal...
