Default HELP MY EK SUCKS!!!!

Ok i have an ek4 vti with a b16a2 motor but it seems every time i do a modification the car runs worse on 1/8 times im running about 11.40 on the 1/8 with: Skunk 2 stage 1 cams, fuel pressuere set to 50 psi, dc 421 headers, msd sci, full cat back exhaust, y80 gearbox instead of the s4c, mugen RnR 15 wheels and revin it up to 6,500 to launch. before all the modifications my car was on about 11 flat and 10.90 im thinking about changing the stock ecu but i really dont know who can do a great job for my car.

PLEASE HELP IM ABOUT TO SELL THE CAR AND BUY A GUN!!LOL

Did your 60's change? Yor MPH? Like NEM pointed out, you need engine management and tuning with your mods.

No, you don't need to, but adjustable cam gears can help you get the most out of your engine.

Do you just dump the clutch or do you feather it out of the hole? I would get the thing tuned for sure, you might be surprised..

There is companies that can have a chip set up for your application, and you can send them the ecu. I no king motorsports will do it you may even be able to get rocket to do it check around for that. Good luck

Want my opinions? 50 psi is a lot of fuel and 6,500 rpm launch is a little to high. Try bringing it down to around 4,500 and bring the fuel pressure down the around 45 psi. And deff get that thing tuned man. I hope I helped some...

50 psi is A LOT OF FUEL.

Especially without some form of fuel management to control it all.

One more thing...which vehicle did your y80 tranny come from? If it came from an INTEGRA GSR, then you have longer gearing, which too will hurt your acceleration.

Hope this helped a little
