Default engine skipping?

i have a good one for you guys. 93 accord 10th anniversary lx, automatic, 150k. In first gear when it hits about 1600 rpm the engine takes a stutter step, like the cylinders are misfiring. it does this from 1600 to 2000 rpm and then its fine. its wierd because it doesnt do it in neutral, park, or any other gear besides first. i recently had a valve cover gasket replaced because it was leaking alota oil, also replaced plug wires. im thinkin the oil is probably messing with a sensor or something like that. any opinions??? thanks in advance for any help you can provide

does it matter how hard your accelerating? You may have worn out axles

na it doesnt matter how hard, if i accelerate hard you can barely feel it but if i go like 10 then it last a few seconds, only from 1600 to 2000 rpm,

Un plug the vaccuum line to the egr ports and see if it quits if it does. take the intake manifold off and clean the egr ports. There inside the inatke manifold tiny little holes in the top off each runner. Rune a cable through then till they come out where the egr valve would be. Make sure to take the egr valve off first so u dont poke a hole in the diaphragm.
