Default problem with motor (running loud/ticking)

Okay I have a 99 B18C1 motor swap in my 91 integra. I just got some headwork done and when the guy that was doing the work put it back on he hooked a vaccume line up from the pcv valve to the vent on the top of the valve cover. This was the wrong thing to do but I didn't know at the time. When i test drove it, it built up so much pressure that it blew out the cam seals and distributor O-ring. Also it is running really loud like a tick. Does anyone know what might be causing this. I hope it's not bent valves or anything because i just had them all replaced with performance valves and had a 3 angle valve job done. If you know that would be a big help so I can get this thing fixed as soon as possible. Thanks.

if the guy hooked that line up wrong, there is a good chance he didnt set yor valve lash correctly. More info on the tic. Louder when cold?

The reason i got the head work done was bent valves and that was a tick and it got louder and faster as i reved the engine higher. With this one the tick stays the same the whole time. I didn't pay attention to how it was hot and cold. I can probably check the valve lash myself because i know how to do it. Would it be to tight or to lose.

Loud ticking is due from a looser valve lash...u need to tightn them to spec...and take it to sumone that KNOWS what hes doing...or learn it urself, not that hard...just takes some time and patience! Having the right tool helps to!

Yes I'm running stock injectors but I don't think it is that because they never ticked before. I was thinking it was just the valve lash but i wasn't sure. I try and get that adjusted and then see what it does. Thanks for the help.

just make sure you dont make them too tight, a little loose is annoying to listen to but wont hurt the engine. Too tight can burn up a valve.
