Default ** $15 reward ** no spark or fuel after swap

I had a bad d15b7 motor in my hatch, so i swapped in a new one i bought off of here. But when i start it up, i have no spark, or fuel. It just whines when i start it up. Like all that is working is the alternator and starter. I checked compression, and it is even across the board but i cant get a spark out of this motor, the rotor is turning and the distributor was my old one and it only has 8k on it. Any suggestions?

well if its not sparking then you might have bad spark plugs, plug wires, your dizzy might be bad i mean if your other motor was fucked don't you think the dizzy might be bad also?. do you hear the fuel pump relay going off when you turn it to the "on" position? if not replace that. fuel filter might be clogged so it not letting you suck up fuel.

My money's on either the main relay or a missing ground. You'd be surprised how much **** goes wrong on these engines if you're missing a single ground wire. When in doubt, throw a couple more grounds on it and see what happens. Lord knows I've started more than a few swaps by doing that.

i think its the ECU, since fuel and spark is two diffferent things whats the chances that the main relay and dizzy expletive up at the same time. either ecu or ground

I have the same problem . I have a b16a2 in my eg and my fuel pump is turing on and i am not getting any spark. I checked all the fuses and i bought a new main relay. I also switched ecu's. It might be the wires from the main relay. I am buying a new harness. You should check all the wires from the ecu and the main relay.

Did you check your fuses? When you turn the key to the run possition, does the cel come on for two seconds and then go out?

no the check engine light never went off. it stays on with the battery light, abs, and oil. I know that is weird but it is just not triggering anything.

What is it doing when you turn the key? Is it cranking but not firing, is it making a whirring noise, does the fan come on when you put the key in the on position?

Also, you didn't say that you checked the grounds
