Default 99 ACCORD REMOTE

i just bought a remote off ebay.. and i already programmed it, etc. but the trunk button doesnt work.

it only works if i hit the unlock button and THen right after that i hit the trunk button.. anyone know how i can fix this?

Strange...

First, if you haven't already, try reprogramming the remote again.

It's also possible you received a remote that was not for your car.

I'm not arguing that part.

The Accord was NOT the only one to have that remote. From what I understand, there was also a slight change in the way the keyless remote system worked half way through the generation, although I've never confirmed it.

Just because the casings are the same doesn't mean that the internals are. The extra remotes at my dealership were very specifically divided into groups, because they would not work correctly with certain other cars.

OHH i seee hrm.. my car is ex. yeah i opend up both of the remotes.. the internal stuff isnt all exactly alike. maybe thats why?

Well, I can tell you this... Most eBay sellers will just look and see if it looks like the one for an Accord, in which case, this one does. If you can't get these to work correctly, you should try contacting the seller. Many of them will be willing to ship you another set, as long as you send the ones you have back to them as well. The only problem is that you might have the same problem with the next set.
