this has been discussed before. There is a problem with the immobilizer. Good luck with it anyways.

I was under the impression there were issues because the K20's used a returnless fuel system and the 2000 SI uses a return line. Just something I read in a magazine.

Thanks for all the input guys, I also read that it has to sit in the bay as if it was in the original bay. By this I mean, everything in it's correct spot, without having to be relocated. Does anyone here have one, that might share some knowledge with me. Really important, it's coming down to crunch time, if this cannot be B.A.R'd we will have to do the next best thing, go with an R setup...But he really wants the K-dove!

So..... does this mean it can't get B.A.R'd.

Anything is possible if you have enough time and money. But to my knowledge, I haven't seen a k20 bar'd yet on here.

iirc there are numerous problems, the immobilizor and the fuel system, also the stock exhaust manifold is going to be tough to use, u cant screw around when u go to the ref, he will go as far as opening up your ecu to see that you dont have KPro etc

I dont think a K into 92-00 will pass smog anytime this decade. Im more then sure someones trying to figure out a way how to do the return fuel setup because ive been hearing about it for a year now but nothing offically finished.

Easiest thing, get a friend in Az and register it there (or if your North Cali, NV or OR)

Ok, here is the actual truth, not just some dumbass guessing or misinforming you:

You will not pass BAR with the typical k20 swap (aftermarket FPR and custom fuel lines for return system)

In order to pass visual, you will need the entire RSX fuel system (which includes the tank I've heard).
There's also an issue with the header. The RSX header will not fit, and there is no CARB legal aftermarket header for that swap, in fact there isnt even one that keeps the cat...
If getting it B.A.R'd is a necessity, then get a b18c5

the tsx header will fit with some modification, although they might be able to tell that it's not from an RSX, depends on how knowledgable that particular referee is... It's not just the fact that they're steel braided lines, the bigger issue is that the fuel return system is in place with a motor that didn't originally have one.

Thanks, for all this information guys! Sweet! B18C5 was our next option. As for the illegal smog, that **** gets expensive after a while, and if you get pinched, that's your a$$ Mr. Postman...For people who live in cali, you know the deal, the cops are always on us, they're getting smarter by the day. And for the idiot talking $hit about immigrants, look into your own family tree, yeah you are an immigrant too. No one in the U.S of A, is a native, but the native americans...So check yourself!

wow, you are so educated... and so profound... family tree? immigrant? they almost have nothing to do with eachother... if you are born here, you are not an immigrant. dictionary ownz joo.... So check your dictionary!

are you native american?

you should have just left it alone, it was not directed at you.

illegal smog is no good, keep it legit.

Yes illegal smog does work, but only for a while bro. I had to get my $hit done this year on my 99 LSV on a DC4, just so I could get my new sticker. Every 2 years, it becomes a drag, altough I got hooked up this year for 60 bucks. But if you can't find a good hook up, it could really suck...
And for SuperSlow, I am not native american. But I am first generation here, my mother is from Argentina, and father is from Mexico...So, it does affect me...But lets just drop it...This is a tech related forum, not a political forum...But thanks for your input anyway, bro...
