Default Steering wheel shakes with slicks on, is this normal?

Like the topic says, i have a 92 civic hb with M&H 24.5X8.7X13 slicks and when i drive it down the road (in the neighborhood) the steering wheel was shaking back and forth. Is that normal? I dont hear any rubbing or any strange noises.

It's probably just the super soft sidewalls flexing. Hold on to that steering wheel tight! Sometmes you can get a nasty oscillation going.

Agreed...most likely they are going to be fine for ya under hard acceleration.

Possibly your tie rod ends are shot aswell... if the balance don't do it new tie rod ends will fix it!

Hi Mikey3000: I have to say this in a nice way. PLEASE do not run your slicks on the street. Slick are made for the track. Call me at the warehouse and I will give you some tech info.

you might not have enough pressure in them. I had to run mine at no less than 5 or they would shake the **** out of everything
