I got a a few bugs
1st off, my other name is not working for some weird reason (s2k drifter) thats why I created this 1.
now off for the other bugs, I have a 2000 S and for some weird reason my radio control unit by the steering wheel isnt working as it should. I can increase the volume, but I cant decrease it. I can change the radio stations, but I cant switch to cd. The mute button lights up green when pressed but doesnt mute. I also removed my steering wheel to get to my cluster. I had a couple scratches on the lens so I purchased a cluster from ebay to use the lens and now I have a srs light showing.
Has anyone had these problems?

yeah tell me about it...
the car is great, just looking to get these bugs or "gremlins" taken care of. Are there any fuses involved for the radio controls? I forgot to check...

I have no idea what that is. I know the srs wiring is covered in a yellow tube thingy and runs into the airbags, clock spring, and srs unit. Any pics for guidance? And what about the radio controls?

If the radio controls aren't working, you'll need to pull that control assembly that houses the volume, mute etc swtiches and test to see if they are working with volt meter. If the switches are working then the radio is the culprit or there's some wires in between that got disconnected.
As for the SRS, the dealer will use a "black box" that simply has that 2 ohm resistor and through a specific sequence with turning the key on and off with the black box connected, it will reset your SRS light.
Now since you pulled your steering wheel, were you careful to no break the cable reel? The cable reel is a device that routes the horn button, cruise control, and SRS wires so when you turn the wheel, wires wont turn or twist. If you weren't careful when reinstalling the steering wheel to the exact spot on the cable reel when you removed it, that cable reel will snap, and you'll have an SRS light on, non functioning horn and cruise control buttons.

the horn works, I didnt break or snap anything around the column. I guess im gonna have to remove this stuff again and check then go to the dealer to reset the srs.
note: I had the original s2000 radio removed and replaced with a 2000 civic si raido. I was told it's the same radio. Reason for replacing is because the face was scratched up (by previous owner)

SRS leads are always yellow, and run through a separate circuit from the rest of the electronics. Look under your steering column for any unplugged yellow leads. Also check underhood SRS fuse box to see if any are blown.

While I'm not 100% certain, I don't think they are the same radio.
