Default 96 coupe. No power to the cluster.

The radio was stolen a few months ago, so there is a big hole in the place where my radio should be. I reached in the gap to get something..(a piece of paper flew in) and as i rached in the lights for the cluster went out. The brake light still goes on and the seat blet light still comes on, just not the cluster light. Did i touch something to make it turn off? I have no idea about electrical situtaions. so in detail description are suggested.
Thanks
BTW happy new year.

pull your cluster out, grab a test light, turn on your lights and probe around see if you got power

Its mostl likely a fuse.....Just check your fuse & then replace it!

Not wanting to jack your thread man...but I have the EXACT same issue...All fuses are fine...but no lights on the cluster work. Aside from the warning lights...

Lights on my HVAC do not light up either...

mine did the same thing when i changed my cd player all you have to do is look where your radio is and fined a orange and white wire it will say positive dimmer it should be on the harness in where your radio was cut the end off and tape it up cuz its grounding out and 1nce u did that then replace the popped fuse underdash and underhood!

I had to wrap the "orange-white" wire up with elec. tape. Then replace a 10amp and 7.5 amp fuse under the steering wheel. Then VOILA lights back on. Nothing needed to be replaced under the hood (fuses).

Thanks goes to everyone!

Humm, I'll try that wire too t/m. Werid. Hopefully it's it, I already replaced all my under dash fuses.

Ok sorry i took so long...was lazy after work yesterday haha...

It turns out in MY case...the orange wire had nothing to do with my situation. I had in fact blown a fuse, but I only checked my fuses in the "on" position for bot ignition and the lights on...My installer was wiring my power folding mirros into my ignition today and I had him peek at it...he found one of my fuses blown. So, now my SiR cluster relights and everything works fine...

He just said to make sure you all check your fuses in both the on and off postion of the ignition and lights...
