What I have is a used clifford matrix 2.5x pager alarm with all hardware extra battery, extra siren and no manual. What i need to know is what wires go where? I have an ideal on how to hook it all up but i dont know what wire is what. If you look at the pics i have circled and labled the wires. Can someone tell me what each wire is for? (example: white wire goes to your +- ingnition wire and so on)




This is going in a 93 civic coupe dx.

I know what wires are what on my car i just need to know what these in the pics wires are for.

Alarm wire colors are pretty standard.

red is constant 12v
yellow is ignition 12v
green is your door trigger unless its coming from the start kill relay, then it's the keyside of the starter wire
purple is not used if it's the + door trigger
white is parking lights
black with a ring terminal is clearly chassis ground

I don't recognize all that **** in the picture

You can download the manual from the12volt.com. You may need to cross reference it with it's Viper equivalent.

Where I stand now.

-Red wire goes to white+ on ignition harness
-Yellow wire goes to any 12v+ source when car is on
-Green wire goes to the door trigger wire, light green/red- wire and then I tie that into my green/black- trunk wire
-White wire goes to the red/black+ parking light wire
-Purple wire goes to the realy which would be for a starter kill
-Black wire i just ground out
Correct?

Now for the sirens how do i tie them in?

thank you for posting this cause being that it is a clifford alarm the "standard color" probably dont apply

 

Actually Clifford = DEI and DEI probably set the standard colors. All the wire colors I gave you are correct for that alarm. In fact, I install that alarm very frequently in it's Python and Viper forms.

If you tie in your trunk wire to the door wire, then opening the trunk will cause the dome light to come on as well as the door open indicator on the cluster. You should either isolate the door and trunk triggers with diodes or simply connect the blue trunk input to your trunk trigger.

Post up a clearer picture of your starter kill relay. You will probably have to remove the tape.
