Default D4 codes - car won't start - 92 Accord Auto

Alrighty, I have been away at school for a while and have not driven my car in about 4 months. It's been up on jacks until today, I brought it out and washed her up. After I was all done, I went to start er up, and it started, sputtered, then just shut off. When I tried to start the car again the D4 light came on. I checked the codes and I got Code 1, 2, 7, and 8. From everything I've read, it sounds like it's pointing to the selanoids. Do these just need to be replaced or is the whole TCU bad? Also someone said that they had codes and it wouldn't start but just needed a trans fluid flush. Thanks guys for your help.

I just reset the TCU/ECU and even pulled the TCU to check for burnt resistors. Nothing. Still codes 1, 2, 7 and 8.

When your trying to start the car (from the point you turn the key to on) what does the check engine light do?

Code 1: Lock-up control solenoid valve A failure.
Code 2: Lock-up control solenoid valve B failure.
Code 7: Shift control solenoid vavle A failure.
Code 8: Shift control solenoid valve B failure.

You probably have a bad TCU. They are known to go bad in the 4th gens. Check the wires at the solenoids and at the TCU, its possible that an animal has chewed or they are loose, but my money is on the TCU.

When the TCU goes bad, the D4 light will stay on continuously (no codes). What is the condition of the trans fluid? The solenoids may need to be cleaned. This should not stop the car from starting, however. Check for a good spark, and fuel at the fuel rail.

I went about an hour after i posted the update, and it still wouldn't start. So i pulled the spark plug to check for spark, and for some reason it started up. It sounded like crap because it was only firing on 3 cylinders, but it started. Shut it off, replaced the plug, and restarted like a champ. No D4 light, no CEL light. I went on a short drive, and everything was great. Thanks everyone for the help.
