Default AEM V2 intake in a 2000 Civic hatch with a GSR motor

As the title states, I have a 2000 Civic hatch with a 2000 GSR motor. I have been thinking of getting the GSR hybrid-specific intake, however, I wanted to confirm something before I actually got one.

I previously had a 2000 EX coupe, and had a hole in the left side of the engine bay that took the intake pipe directly into the fender. However, on the hatch I do not have such a hole.

If anyone has this setup (or this intake), can you please confirm that it does not use the hole for routing the intake pipe?

TIA

The GSR cold air intake is routed under the frame rail near the same location. I would assume that the Hybrid intake may be the same design.

The hole can be easily cut with the appropriate tool.
