Swapping CV joint housings. Is it hard to do? Will it cost me ana arm and a leg?
waddup guys, your prolly tired of hearing from me. Ohh weell
As in the other thread, i had some severe rattling and vibrations in my car after i installed my espelirs. By doing some research, im pretty sure i fall in the Honda TSB category of worn inboard CV joint housings. I now i should get this fixed soon but i do not have the proper **casssh moooney*** lol. Anywho, im hearing that i should juss flip the housings from left to right and i would be good for a couple thousand miles. How much can am i looking at if i give a job to my mechanic to do this?
Or if anybody of San Diego resident, or OC wanna take a trip down to San Diego, to help me...
I'll pay for your gas here and too, and get you some In N'Out, thai food, whatever.

I believe one shaft is shorter than the other by a bit. If you're talking about just swapping boots, that could be done, but those are cheap as well, so just replace.
how much will it cost for me to swap the housings? my hands on suspenion mechanicey kinda blows. How much does a job like this run?

#1 and 2, $20 a piece. Service Manual is $70. Simple job if you're handy. Otherwise its 2 hours of shop time at $45-60/hour.

I already did it on mine its easy and no money needed just swap the inner joints from side to side use the oem clamps that are already on the boots.. Take the clamps off and reuse them simple install.. Just repack the boots with grease and your good to go...
