help car breaks up when i rev
ok so i just swapped in a gsr motor in my ls and it starts and idles fine but when i rev it goes brap brap brap brap and so on. its an obd1 motor but i have in obd2 injectors cause i didnt have obd1 injectors. where do i start to troubleshoot?
How did you even make the plugs fit on the obd2 injectors?
Did you check up on your ignition?
wait.. what year is the chassis/wiring harness and all that?

its a 94 integra ls shell, 94 complete motor swap. i changed the injector clips to fit the obd2 ones. oh yeah i'm also using a p06 ecu.
okay i just went back outside to check some of the plugs and corrected some of them. and now the car wont even idle. it starts idles really really rough then after like 5 seconds it puffs like blueish smoke out of the tb and shuts off

Corrected plugs on the IM?
I know on the back of my Im, I didn't have some stuff plugged in, it had a rough idle almost like I put in bigger cams.
Once I got that all set away, idle was fine, and I still have one left on top not plugged in,
But it was also a 96ls engine into a 95 chassis.

What was the ecu you listed off, I'm not to keen on model numbers.
If you could pick up some obd1 injectors for cheap I'd try them,
All though, other then the plug part, I dunno if they Really differ at all.
Other then the injectors, all other stuff on the engine is of obd1?
How's the distributor/plugs on it, even though it doesn't really sound like ignition.

the p06 is a obd1 dx ecu, i dont have access to a gsr ecu so i gotta use this one. everything on the motor is obd1.
outta curiousity, i put in a icm from a obd0 distributor and a coil from a single cam civic also in my distributor cause they were missing. would these have anything to do with it?

ohh civic ecu, I've heard of someone running one sometime ago and I guess it Ran,
But other then that, I'm not too sure on what it could do possibly.
I know that the coilpack, and such is interchangeable between the obd1-2 for tegs,
but no idea on what it would be like between though.
Did it run good before and then start acting up,
Or did you have that dizzy/ecu setup Once you did the swap?

I have a friend that did such with a sohc civic, nonvtec to vtec, using the old ecu.
he doesn't know much at all about cars, and it runs like **** now.
I'm not saying that because you used those certain pieces it's running bad though,
Because I really don't have the knowledge base of switching all that stuff around.
I just have a newer ls motor in my car now
Anyways, I would lean more towards those things you brought up though.

out of curiosity, did you run 87 octane in your LS? if you arent running 91 or higher octane right now it could be starving out since you are also using a civic ecu. combine that with mismatched ignition pieces and it could be part of the cause of the issue.
naw i only use 91 or 93 octane. i am goin to see if i could get the correct ignitor and hopes it works out. also on my motor the butterflies from between the intake manifold were eliminated so i have like 2 loose plugs
Try putting in a gsr ecu. I think it is your ecu that is making you drive crappy. I had this issues with my old teg. It had an ls ecu in a gsr and the idle would bounce and throw cels(because it was obd2 car) and drive crappy.

i'll try to find a gsr ecu and see what happens, also my tach is bouncing around like crazy

check your wiring again. I had the same problem with my tach bouncing around and my car would run like ****. check all the wiring again. Also try to find a different ecu because that might just be the problem
