Oak Brook IL huh, that's where I live.

It depends what year and how much boost you plan on running.

ive noticed that if your not going to be running a ton of boost that stock injectors work just fine. otherwise you could go with 440 which wouldn't be to much. correct me if im wrong boost people. only other thing i could tell you is go look in the FI forum or there is a turbo lude thread in the prelude forum. hmm oakbrook i was just there 10 minutes ago

I think a lot of people use DSM injectors, which are 440s if I'm not mistaken.

(BTW - Chicago Suburbs own this thread )

Yea DSM 450's only cost me 50 dollars on ebay, but you need to upgrade your fuel pump.

You all on Chicagolandpreludeclub.com right??

In my opinion, you should just go ahead and 1000's............

Why?

B/c youre gonna get boosted on something like 440's or something, and then youre going to want to turn up the boost....Then what? You have to go upgrade the injectors, again.

Plus, I personally wouldn't want to bet my motor on some $50 used DSM's off of ebay.

Go ahead, spend the $300 for some new 1000cc's and be done with it........

1000 cc's are gigantic, and unnecessary for mild boost. There's no reason to waste money on fancy injectors and dump unnecessary fuel as well.

50 dollar ebay DSM injectors (after being cleaned and flow tested) have kept me running for 3 years now. I wouldn't recommend them if they didn't work. Cheap doesn't always mean crappy.

You want to choose the injectors that will best suit you for now and down the road.
440's are only good to about 300hp. if you plan on going higher than that get bigger but the only downside to getting injectors too large is that it is harder to obtain a steady idle.

1000cc injectors are not as bad as youre making them out to be.

When you tune the car, you can make the car idle like stock with 1000's----thats a fact. All it takes is a little more dyno time.

Also, look at the prices you'll pay for 1000's, then look at the prices for smaller ones (new) theres what? Maybe a $50 difference at the max???

My point to all of this is (through learning the hard way) that I don't like to pay for things more than once, nor do I enjoy doing things over and over. Thats all....

you could also go with the 750cc saturated that way you don't have to worry about a resistor box

My opinion is getting somethig bigger than the dsm's (450's) so that you dont have to worry later on when/if you want to up the boost. As far as prices go, search around theres alot of places that sells them. Try to find them used on here, I found a good deal (at least I think so) on rc 650cc's (saturated), brand new for $250.

peak and hold = you need a resistor box
saturated = you dont need a resistor box. im pretty sure thats the way it goes, someone correct me if im wrong.
