exospeed crx specs? what is the cheapest route to hit the 13's?(no nawws)
anyone know anything about the exospeed crx that pulls solid 13second et's on the sohc block?
I am looking to buy a crx and I am still debating over engine swap, turbo, all-motor, or even all-motor sohc....
What mods are needed to run a "solid 13" second et' on the sohc block all motor?
Thanks...

it has a built head, port/polish, valvesprings, retainers, stainless steel valves, cam, cam gear, unmilled(just resurfaced a couple of times), 92-95 head gasket, match port intake manifold, TB, and ecu with higher rev limiter.
thats pretty much it.
its in an HF so its somewhat a light car.

just want to say, that this route is not for everyone. but dont under estimate the capabilities of the SOHC.

key thing you want to do is raise compression if your going na and make sure your motor can handle it, if you want to go the boost route, just get some low comp pistons and some rods from je, some weight reduction and run moderate to high boost and you should hit 13's. Hard to say too many variables, though.
you wanna hit a cheap fast 13 seconds? take your SOHC and reinforce the block with sleeves, pistons, and rods. Let the pistons be of a mildy high compression. Lets say 11:1 or 11.5:1 maybe nutter butter 12:1. Get a GReddy kit or REV hard hit and let it rip at stock boost. 13's easy. My friend did it in his SOHC VTEC 92 Si hatch with a bolt on REV Hard stage 3 kit and hit 13.9 on street tires on 10lbs of boost.
that doesnt sound cheap.. sounds like its going all out.
I didnt even spend over $2000 and it was hitting 13's all motor.
oh and that included intake, exhaust and headers too.
