It could be surging because of the idle, just adjust the cable or nut by the intake manifold. You might also want to mess with the TB. Although you did say your cams got a wrong code... If I could understand the way you stated your question I could probably help you out more.

sorry i am throwing two check engine lights one for the throttle position sensor and the other for camshaft postion sensor , my idle is rough and it surges a little bit and it almost comes close to dieing but i put a new sensor on throttle body because it was broken when received the motor do you have to do any adjusting to sensor, and for the camshaft postion sensor if it is bad would it make my timeing off because i tryed to set it a couple of times but it is still it is off, i have no ide what this motor been through i bought it and it wouldent start come to find out it was way off time from the cams, we get it better than what it was and finally got it started and tryed it a coulpe more times and still could not get it right

Well after hearing that it could actually be quite a few things that are wrong. Make sure to check for vacuum leaks first. If you have an ohm meter check the setting thats on the IAVC and make sure your map sensor is working right. But I'm pretty sure its your throttle body and TPS thats really causing the problem, if its not then it's your cam journals that are messing everything up.

Anyone else have suggestions?
