Default My new turbo, can someone identify this?

I bought this off of Jetli6969. Gonna put it on in a few days when my car gets back from Radley Acura. Damn thieves broke my ignition...

Its a T3/T4 Garrett (I think). No Garrett stamp on it anywhere. Exhaust has .48 stamped into it (on the inside).

Not sure about anything else! Looks like a very quick spooling turbo.

6 blade/6 splitter compressor blade = T04E
7 blade/7 splitter compressor blade = T04B

Check the major and minor diameters of the compressor blade

So your saying if its double 6 its T04b and if its double 7 blades its t04e?

The Inline pro manifold did not come with it. I bought that seperately. And polished that bizotch by hand.

if you polished your manifold with a wire wheel and not aluminum oxide sand paper, your manifold will rust! Take it to a metal treater and have them do a 300 series passivation in nitric acid at 140 degrees for half an hour.

That isn't correct. The double 6 wheel would be a T04E.

It has 6 double blades. But looks a LOT smaller then the one I had before which was a t3/t4e...

Anyone else?

the only way to know for sure is to measure the major and minor diameters of the compressor blade!

How do you measure that? Also which one is major and which one is minor. thanks.

major = largest diameter (compressor exducer)
minor = smallest diameter (compressor inducer)

Remove the compressor housing (six 12mm bolts and and three clamp sets), pull the housing off and then measure the two diameters of the blade with a micrometer (or caliper and ruler).

HTH...
