I heard that Blitz is only loud with high boosted cars...well...Does anyone have any idea how it would work with just 7 lbs of boost rather than 10+ lbs? Will if flutter? will it be high-pitched..or will it give the same sound as any other car? I'm trying to decide between Blitz SS BOV or Greddy Type-S...still a little confused..

 

well everyone wants to trade their greddy type s bov for a blitz or hks ss. that isnt a direct answer to your question but i think it will help you decide.

 

I have a Blitz at 5 lbs and it flutters a bit...but it is still loud, sounds good

 

My blitz at 12 sounds practically the same at 7... just quieter while retaining the same tonal characteristics.

12+ is almost deafening if you're close enough.

 

My friend has the older style blitz. It is LOUD as hell. Like a bus or a truck. But its not my style. It sounds like a big gush of air. At 6-7 PSI, its freakin LOUD.

Not laser'ish like the Greddy Type S.

 

thanks for the help guys...another thing is I heard that Blitz is kinda like a POS considering its made out of plastic unlike Greddy, HKS, etc..I dont know the facts or anything..but thats just what i heard and also it gives problems with functionbilities <---not even dayam word....whats everyones opion on this matter?

 

made of plastic? I believe I have the earlier model and its all aluminum. No plastic there. Looking at the new model it looks all Al as well. wow, thats a drop in standards if its partially 'plastic'.

I've heard of people complaining that the blitz doesn't perform well. Basically its a noise maker. I feel that it's fine for low boost appz but I question it being effective against compressor surge at higher boost levels.
