Default setup options ls/v gsr b16 pistons

i just bought a DA that the LS was recently bored over 20 and all the seals and bearings in the block was replaced. but i also bought gsr block not too long ago with crank, pistons, and rods. I also have a complete b16 engine.

i wasnt planning on getting a car with some **** done but its the way it worked out. i was planning on puttin my b16 pistons and head on the gsr block be pretty nice poormans type r then i see the oportunity with this new engine. so maybe i could just get oversized itr pistons and slap on my vtec head which is gonna be built before i swap by the way. i kind of see it as a way of saving money on haveing to replace all the seals and what not on the gsr block.

one thing i am wordied about though is the thing about the oil issue and im not sure so if correct me if im wrong but doesnt ls block have a little problem with high revving and i am gonna take it to at least 9. but i thought wut if i put my gsr crank gsr rods with oversized itr pistons with a golden eagle ls/v kit and slap the head and call it a very nice day.

any help or suggestions and feedback is greatly appreciated
thanks

why not just use the gsr block? you already have a good block. youd have to spend more money to get the ls block up to sp
ec with the gsr.

well i can get higher comp. with the ls block with gsr crank, rods, and oversized p73 pistons it would be like 12:1. wouldnt i just need to get rod bearings and main bearings and pistons but i dont know just contemplating

I'd use the gsr block if you plan on revving high, the gsr block also has the bottom girdle ,and piston squirters.

youll get the same compression with the gsr internals in the ls block as you would in the gsr block, what makes the compression raise is using the ls crank and rods.

and what i meant by you'll end up spend more to get the ls to the gsr spec is what flatblackteg said, the gsr blocks have the 3 main girdle and the oil squirters for cooling of the cast pistons.

why not just use ITR pistons.

go to c-speedracing.com and use their compression calculator to find out your compression.
