Default Ignition switch going out? Any insight would be great...

So my car has been randomly cutting out on me while Ive been driving and its been getting really anoying. So tonight I hooked up my wideband and took it for a spin to try and figure out whats wrong. Sometimes my car just dies at idle. But, what it started pulling tonight was it would idle then almost die ( I pulled the plug off the IACV to throw a CEL to see if the car was shutting off) then manage to keep running and pick the idle back up. The car would almost die then was clearing the CEL and acting like it had just been started up. Im guessing that its the ignition switch? Where are they located in CRXs and about how much do they run? I searched but didnt find much so any insight is great. Could it be anything else? tia

Isn't the ignition switch the slot you stick your key into? And, no, not the hairy slot...

actually the part you put the key into is the "lock cylinder" or "key tumbler"

the ignition switch iteself is at the end of that assembly as seen in this pic

.

I replaced it in my 88 crx si because everytime i would start the key it would just die instantly, eventually it would work, but was a PITA. cost was around $75cdn (honda only) and took about 1hr to install.

one of those little screws were a BIG pain in the *** to get out, but i got it, just gotta take your time.

TIP: When you re-install it make sure the orientation of the little dial on the inside matches EXACTLY how the old one was. you dont want to re-install it and its wrong.

yeah i had to install one on my integra. my car would start but as soon as i let go of the key it would die so i replaced the tumbler and yes those tiny *** screws are a pain. and the new part it self is very stiff and its difficult to make it fit properly. but i think i git the part for like 50 dollars form my brother and it cured the problem

Well I was getting super pissed off today at my car for running crappily and so I was late for work but I think I might have narrowed it down to the problem being the main relay. Theres a box under the dash that I can hear and feel click when the car stumbles and almost dies. Im pretty sure that its the main relay. This could be the source of my problem. Everyone else seems to be saying that the car wont run, well mine will. It will just shut off for like .2 seconds then keep going. Kinda like turning the key off an on as fast as you can while driving, this happends about every 45 seconds. I guess it could be the ignition switch too, I just dont know where to even start troubleshooting.
